 Charlotte Church is a Welsh singer-songwriter, actress, television presenter, and political activist who has a net worth of 8 million dollars. At the age of 11 she made her start in the world of music. She gained fame in childhood as a classical vocalist singing in English, Welsh, Latin, Italian, and French before moving into pop in 2005.Charlotte Church was born Charlotte Maria Reed on February 21, 1986 in Llandaff, Cardiff, Wales. At the time she was born, her parents were already separated. They divorced in 1991 and her mother was remarried in 1992. James Church, her stepfather, adopted her in 1999. Church was raised Roman Catholic.Charlotte began her career working in the industry of music in 1997 when she was just 11 years old. She sang Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Pie Jesu" via the phone on the British television program This Morning. The same year, she appeared on ITV's Big Big Talent Show. Rupert Murdoch hired Church in 1999 to sing "Pie Jesu". The connections Church established resulted in concerts being held at a number of iconic venues such as the Royal Albert Hall. Church was also a performer for the legendary Dame Shirley Bassey, in Belgium. In 1998, Church received a scholarship to Howell's School Llandaff in Cardiff to study vocal techniques. Church was able to graduate from high school the following year.
