Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for a long time. Alexandra is known for roles in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her professional career in showbiz as a child. She played lead roles in TV dramas as young at the age of 16. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall the role she played as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also highly praised. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Alexandra has been involved in many important projects both locally and internationally. These projects included British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. Her other roles include being juror at each of the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
